ASSET VERSUS LIABILITY
Asset is simply defined as anything that brings IN (+) money to our pocket or wallet while liability is anything that takes OUT (-) money from our pocket or wallet. Our cellphone is an expense generating device unless it is used for business to contact clients or suppliers to bring in more profit. Therefore, if our cellphone doesn't bring in money then it is a liability because we need to purchase load in order to send text/mms messages or make a call.
